Avoid Working with Deepanjan Datta – Poor Leadership and Toxic Work Culture The HC team at Fractal is highly ineffective when it comes to supporting employees. they fail to address critical concerns when employees need them the most. Their inaction raises serious questions about their actual responsibilities. Regarding leadership, Deepanjan Datta is an example of poor management. He lacks fundamental people management skills, micromanages excessively, and shifts blame onto his team instead of taking accountability. His approach creates a toxic work environment where employees feel undervalued and demotivated. He frequently complains about everyone—his own team, HC, EM, Directors, and even clients—but never reflects on his own shortcomings. Despite portraying himself as a thought leader, he struggles with clear communication, strategic planning, and task delegation. If you are assigned to a project with Deepanjan Datta, think twice before accepting it. His ego clashes with clients, backdoor politics, and inability to lead make working under him extremely difficult. Employees who challenge his poor leadership often find themselves unfairly targeted. The HC team enables such behavior, protecting senior employees regardless of their incompetence or negative impact on teams. Instead of addressing real concerns, they prioritize maintaining the status quo, contributing to a culture of employee dissatisfaction and high attrition. Fractal must focus on leadership accountability—employees deserve managers who uplift teams rather than drag them down. The learning opportunities can only be grabbed when you get time from your project work. Some of the clients they have have longer working hours and deliverables are too many. Because of this you will suffer in maintaining work life balance and will not be able to learn or get time for yourself.

Good work life balance but majorly depends on project and your team. You can raise your voice with your leads or manager is you’re not happy with work sometimes it work and sometimes don’t. People are very supportive in your emergency situation. Growth wise it’s good and you can up-skill yourself given you really want to.

Like every other firm good amount of politics. To get promotion you need to be over sell yourself in-front of your higher management. Hikes are average and that also depends on your visibility nothing related to your work
