Worked as a part of EY wavespace environment was beyond pressurizing. Was hired as a process facilitator and was asked to do the sales aspect as well. The working hours are flexible and so you are expected to be available always and the average hour of working per day would be 11- 12 hours. There is a religious groupism within the team which includes people from the higher levels, and other team members are treated in a horrible way. The actual time we work on a project would be 15-16 hours and we will be allowed to charge only 11 hours. This causes billability and utilization issues for which we will be blamed later on. I was put on PIP and was asked to take care of sales aspect, which means we need to find out our own projects and reach the target number given within a short period. I was indirectly forced to resign by my Manager and the Director of EY wavespace. The Manager would blame us for no reason and our work never gets appreciated. I feel very fortunate to work with EY, especially during times when other companies are laying off the employees. EY has taken care of its employees in every aspect. I hope it continues to do so in future.
The salary is very low when compared to other competitors, but in teams, like mine, where I work at any time and also where I work more than 12 hours days, we expect and desire more than just a same salary. Even till now we maintain full productivity. However there’s a lot of office politics, which sometimes are unbearable. I have worked with other teams where EY culture is more evident, but it doesn’t seems to apply to my team. They are much focused on work hours if we fail to reach the target then there is no difference between those who under perform vs those who miss by 1 or 2 percentage. I have worked with EY for approximately 5 years and felt at comfort with few managers since they were very cooperative and understanding. The company promotes culture of flexible working hours in some teams.
1. Undue work pressure in non busy seasons and not letting charge time 2. Huge politics during promotions and increment cycle end. 3. Mental pressure due to unrealistic deadlines. 4. Leadership misuses their power to shut down employees raising voices against malpractices. 5. EY GDS not always following global audit guidelines.

EY GDS is not what I was used to be prior covid. Many things have changed, too much internal politics, Team size have gone big which is impacting the overall culture and people have come up with their own ways to woo the higher managers/leadership and get a floor visibility. So its a harsh truth but yes its a fact.
People who are working here for more than 12-15 years have now moved to a leadership position. Now all they themselves are interested in pursuing their own hobbies (oustside work e.g. Yogam Travelling, Blogging, Youtube, etc) and expect juniors to work 24x7
