People are helpful. Your leaves will approve if you are not booked on any engagement and they try to approve your leave as much possible but not in busy season, at that time you have strict guidance and they will ask you to plan it 6 month in advance. regarding type of work they are improving like now most of the foreign work is done by GDS for audit. Manager doesn't care until it is for there own benefit or regarding client deadline, they will see your message and ignore. Even if you booked there calendar they will simply say i am busy and then again no response. There is lots of politics, if you are in good book then your simple work will also came across as good but if you arenot in good book then they will take your simple mistake too seriously. When your bonus discussion happens they will ask you what you have done so far, when you tell them what you have done. They will say that is everyone is doing what you have done differently. We have do audit for Foreign clients. We complete the documentation including communication with client after that Foreign senior and managers and partner review them and sign the FS.

The flexibility which EY provides is simply amazing. The learning opportunities and cross functionsl skill development is also taken care of.

Dislikes

The only think which I dislike about EY is that they don't give an hke/appriasal even if you complete any professional certification such as US CPA which is a highliy reconnizable degree over the globe.

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn’t address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow.

The job is quite interesting! I struggled a bit in the beginning as there was no formal training session. I learnt everything on the job. I got a chance to wear multiple hats and that helped me get a taste of different roles within the same team.
