People are helpful. Your leaves will approve if you are not booked on any engagement and they try to approve your leave as much possible but not in busy season, at that time you have strict guidance and they will ask you to plan it 6 month in advance. regarding type of work they are improving like now most of the foreign work is done by GDS for audit. Now they are not doing task base work, they are actually doing complete audits.

Dislikes

... you are not in good book then they will take your simple mistake too seriously. When your bonus discussion happens they will ask you what you have done so far, when you tell them what you have done. They will say that is everyone is doing what you have done differently. Even if you have all the good feedbacks and no complaints they will treat you like you did not done anything.

The working hours during work from home are not established properly as they would expect us to be working around the clock.

Dislikes

...assigned to a senior will be dumped on a staff as there is no one overseeing it. And the compensation during covid was not satisfactory , how do you expect a second year staff to work while the compensation being paid is equal to a fresher?

Culture is really good, good communication and proper policy installed for every thing

Dislikes

No work life balance, the person who works well, only keeps working. If you aren't good at working or not interested in giving more than 75%, then it's a right company because work will reduce and you get normal bonus which isn't bad.. if you work hard, you get no life outside work, but bonus will be good

here job security is good , but work culture completely depends on which you are in , some teams are good and some are pathetic, where whatever you do nothing gets recognised and every employee gets over burdened with loads and loads of work with no recognition.

Exposure to complex returns and working with US team. EY will provide to strong learning platform. Specially Tax - Very good exposure to US taxation. Flexible working hours and zero micromanagement. If you're ready to compromise money over learning, EY is better option

Dislikes

Salary is very very low compared to industry. Need to work minimum 60 hrs a week during busy seasons ( also on Sunday for last 3-4 weeks of busy seasons) I think the scheduling [ 1200 to 1500 hrs per annum ] North- south divide and also favoritism
