Need Career Advice – Salary Expectation for 7 Years of Experience in Data Engineering
Hi everyone,
I need some advice on my next career move. I have 7 years of experience in data roles—3 years as a Data Analyst (reporting & automation) and the last 4 years in Data Engineering (ETL development, cloud migration, data pipelines).
I’m currently working with Python, AWS, PySpark, and SQL and earning 11 LPA in my second company. I feel underpaid for my skills and experience, so I’m planning to switch.
What salary range should I realistically expect in my next job? Would love to hear insights from those in similar roles or who’ve recently made a switch.
