Apart from the extensive and career-building training I received at Cisco Systems from Cisco-certified trainers, I got to meet and work with some of the creme de la creme of people from similar industries and positions as I was. I have no complaints about the job security at Cisco - works the same as every other transnational corporation operating in India. The more people you know personally, the more secure your job is. Career growth is not as great as one would expect to be but the appraisals, salaries, job perks, and work incentives are great working at Cisco. The work culture here is second to none. It is like finding water after wandering for weeks in the desert. I cannot think of another workplace in Bangalore, India with such brilliant work culture. Dislikes

Cisco takes ages to convert employees to work on their payrolls. Despite the work effort, diligence, and adherence to work and HR policies, exceptional performance at work, Cisco does not make the effort to convert employees easily. Another downside to working at Cisco is - you do not always get to work at Cisco. They make you work for Cisco sometimes. This is the most annoying bit where you have to work from different locations - although within the city - but the change in work location, shit timings, and facilities does a lot of harm to the work-life balance that was once available at Cisco....Read More
