Company Culture & work life balance is very good. You will get encouragement for creating connections inside & outside firm. Provide free food (negligible charges) for 4 star kind of food 3 times in day. Transportation facility is also good.

Payscale & promotion is poor as compare to JP morgan, Morgan Stanly & other competitior firms. In particular GIO (global investment operation) Asset & Cash operation team people from same old OFS( oracle fiancial services) culture mentality, they don't want to change. Any time they fire any of person so i was always in fear in my mind & because of this i didnt have mental peace. You need to pay more salary if you have extreme workload condition. Not suggested to join under any GIO team in BLK. Favoritism is stands tall than talent in GIO teams. HR & management needs to look into these issues that why lots of people left from BlackRock in very short span of time. Need to queried Asset & Cash team VP & directors that manager's not doing that job properly. You don't put all pressure on you last level employee, As a manager you need to take stands against other stake holders & you as manager need to absorb pressure rather than pointing out fingers to their own employee. I quit job solely because of managers & their favoritism. Overall organization is great but need to reformative & structural changes in GIO. These OFS culture is not at all matching with BLACKROCK culture. These teams are not align with BlackRock's culture. Simple words I can say in Hindi 'Name bade Darshan chote'...Read More

Increment, Appraisal, no seats but have to come to office for 4 days. One can follow 3days WDH as other company is following. This will basically add flexibility for the employees.

Strongest company culture ever. Lots of corporate activities. Free food and free cab. The food is amazing. Work-life balance and job security are very high.

Depressed wages compared to the market. Appraisals are also slow.

Poor work life balance, Pure politics within team and India. The HR head is not empathetic toward employees, she lives in her own dilemma. Promotion criteria is purely based on favouritism, if you are manager favourites your work get whitewashed and you will put for promotion. There is not log out time, you slog for 11-12 hours If you login at 8, you cannot log off by 9:30 or 10 pm it’s never ending. If you are sick, you cnt take sick leave untill you get hospitalised. They have very strict policies you can not buy stocks tou cannot buy mutual funds basically you can not invest anywhere what is the point of earning then? The managers are really pathetic they do micro management. I have joined in DevOps Gurgaon and the work culture here is so bad. No flexibility and relaxation in working hours and work from home. Failed to provide growth and job satisfaction. I wanted transition to different team and my line manager and skip manager plan to degrade my rating and issue PIP on my behaviour, so i can't take any transition to different team. I asked for help to senior leader but they also showed their intention of not providing support. Management is.mean and selfish.
