No, I'm not another disgruntled old employee. I am enjoying my time here, winning awards, and working without stress. But that's because I can manage to deal with all the wrong things happening around me. What do I dislike about working at BankBazaar.com? Where do we start? The company is like Virat Kohli's captaincy in test cricket away from home (if you're following the recent England tour 2018). Aggression without a direction takes your team nowhere, my good sire. I've been working here for more than an year and I've basically written like 7 different types of articles. Yes, out of 670 documents I have written, only a few made me feel like I'm making a difference, or I actually am a writer. All the articles looked similar because we were designed to "follow a format". If one article looks good, they close their eyes and start following the format blindly. They have unnecessary meetings throughout the day (A writer tends to lose his focus and flow, come on!). If you want to convey some information, any update, an email can work too! Duh! "Paperless!" They have a weak management when it comes to choosing 'the leaders'. My TL plays chess online and watches videos the entire day. No, I am not kidding. They keep bragging about how open they are to suggestions, but sadly nobody wins when it comes to the fight between 'what's right' and 'what your boss thinks is right'! The bosses sit jobless when they need to take responsibility. Writers, quality over quantity, amirite yo? Buzzz WRONG! I have successfully managed to write at least 2.6-2.7k words per day till now, but if you take time to finish that one article that required a lot of research and end up doing 'just 1990 words for a day', everybody loses their minds (Insert the Joker picture here)! If you want to be continuously taught 'how to write' by people who don't really write or have written their share in the past, this is the best company for you. Stay here for 3 years and become a TL! Hurry up!...Read More

ISRO vs Analog Design Engineer

Hello All. I am asking this question. I am a final year M.Tech student at IIT-B specializing in Integrated Circuits and Systems. I have two offers as mentioned below - 1) ISRO Scientist/ Engineer 'SC' (Location - Ahmedabad) 2) Offer from Cadence as Analog Design Engineer (Location - Pune) I am unable to make a decision. While the central government scientist post does seem lucrative I am also attracted to the fact that I am a Mumbaikar and would actually love to stay in Mumbai whilst still getting a better pay sitting very close to Mumbai. Can anyone from ISRO/SAC - Ahmedabad shed some light as to what kind of work is done in Electronics ? How is the Work Life Balance in ISRO/SAC - Ahmedabad ? Is it true that we need to work overtime and also work on weekends ? Because if that is the case I would very well do it in a private organization thereby earning more money. I however would like to spend quality time with family and avoid WFH kind of arrangements. Not very sure.
