The opportunities I was given - I deserved them anyway!

Dislikes

Everything about the place makes me want to forget it. I would suggest you to avoid it. Lot of politics, needless rules, and inane work policies.

Work Details

Extremely boring and monotonous. You keep churning the same stuff on finances over and over again until you forget what you've ever done!

Work days: Monday to Friday (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This is a desk job.

ISRO vs Analog Design Engineer

Hello All. I am asking this question. I am a final year M.Tech student at IIT-B specializing in Integrated Circuits and Systems. I have two offers as mentioned below - 1) ISRO Scientist/ Engineer 'SC' (Location - Ahmedabad) 2) Offer from Cadence as Analog Design Engineer (Location - Pune) I am unable to make a decision. While the central government scientist post does seem lucrative I am also attracted to the fact that I am a Mumbaikar and would actually love to stay in Mumbai whilst still getting a better pay sitting very close to Mumbai. Can anyone from ISRO/SAC - Ahmedabad shed some light as to what kind of work is done in Electronics ? How is the Work Life Balance in ISRO/SAC - Ahmedabad ? Is it true that we need to work overtime and also work on weekends ? Because if that is the case I would very well do it in a private organization thereby earning more money. I however would like to spend quality time with family and avoid WFH kind of arrangements. Not very sure.
