This organisation has given me everything, whatever i am today is because of Bank of Maharashtra. People working here are best in industry. I am blessed to have good mentors at all stages of my job, who have made me to learn and understand credit and refined me in all aspects of my job.

It is one of the public sector banks so a tag of govt job is there.

Dislikes

Almost everything. Worst transfer policy. Dirty Politics rules. HRM Deptt doesn't believe in its first word i. e. Human and exploit the non political employees as their Resources only. Partial towards other state employees. Bending and twisting the rules as per their convenience. 2 unions keep practicing ugly politics and fail to help their members.

They have a very good policy and one should spend some time to understand the policies.

I joined during COVID era. May be that went against me as bank could not provide proper training and we had to learn ourselves. Bank of Maharashtra is an old generation bank and it will reflect in the work culture. They still have the system of manual salary where one need to submit an attendance sheet and the same would be send to zone. Then they will upload and you will receive your salary and stuffs like that....Read More

The only plus I could find while working at BOM was that it was a Govt job and which means one cannot be fired unless one is hell bent on it.

There were numerous things which irked me at BOM ,but the top of the list was a VERY BAD WORK CULTURE. If you are working no one will appreciate it, but if something goes wrong everyone will jump to crucify you. Nobody will teach you how to do things and you have to do it almost all on your own. Secondly seniors are not at all cooperative and in fact most of them look down upon their juniors. Thirdly, if you are working hard, more work will be directed towards you and ultimately, due to work load, you'll make a mistake and which no one will shield you from. Fourthly, forget Saturdays and Sundays and public holidays. It is workday everyday and taking leaves is a Herculean task.
