Firstly, Awards/Recognition/Promotion. The feedback that someone hear from Manager during 1-to-1's would highly defer with the one that they officially get on paper/Employee portal. This makes huge impacts on annual bonus and salary hike at end of the year. For Ex: During my Appraisal what I hear from my Manger would be of "delivered more than expectations" but the result I get on paper would be "satisfactory/meets expectations". No matter how much you push / work hard, the recognition that you get end of the day would not be encouraging. This impacts the career growth and chances of getting expected compensation/pay/promotion at end of the year is very-very low. Though there are opportunities where I have been offered with additional job role(without any job-title change), it didn't benefit me in-terms of getting pay or recognition/award. Of-course the Manager would appreciate personally and motivates to deliver same-level of outcome but that would not bring any benefits. Finally, Salary Normalization - the salary offered to an experienced AVEVA employee is lower than that of a new employee hired for similar job-level and having same-level of experience. My work is a challenging task, it incurs to deliver highest-quality product to our customer. I would be working closely with Development and Test Teams in delivering such quality product.

Company is good having good teammates and good team support. Workwise teammates will be helpful and are very approachable. Manager supports in project plus even encourage u to participate in extra curricular activities too. Innovation , gaming ,challenging contest all being conducted for employees which is really good. Health insurance was also good.

Dislikes

Salary wise it is very less compared to market price. Even when u get promotion the salary hike is less. Promotion doesn't really make any difference for salary it is just grade change and nothing else when compared to outside. compensation and benefits could be improved. some benefits are provided to some grade only. It would be nice if it would be extended. Travel for project were only for some and not all get travel opportunity. It would be nice if people are given this benefits....Read More

The work culture at Aveva is amazing. People are professional and best part at Aveva is the work-life balance. People are encouraged to take part in all the activities not just work.

Dislikes

Not many technical trainings that are useful for the product you're working on is given so the learning scope from product perspective is a little less but you get ample time to learn something new all by yourself. Not a good career growth for freshers.

Due to recent merges and increased scope of products and its integrations and also their respective stakeholders, it is becoming difficult to manage the expectations and attending late night meetings impacting personal life and work life balance

My work is to manage the multiple teams and we perform various testings on the products to ensure product quality, compatibility and integrations before production/customer release.

It was good at the salary when I joined the AVEVA, recently regarding the salary hike not really good, promotions also not up to the mark. Due to this pandemic, we cannot expect the travel, but it is less. The recent policies making us some disappoints. Sometimes, losing individual contributions recognition.

Salary should match with industry standards, every year its becoming a challenge to convince the people to retain them. Irrespective of number of nominations for promotion, all eligible should be given a promotion.
