Good for coasting if you like that sort of a thing. Flexible work hours. You get paid.

Hikes are terrible. You need to build "repo" with people higher up (at the hq) to get by. You manager most probably will have no say in your career progression. There is no promotion cycle. You only get promoted if someone leaves or a position somehow becomes available. People at HQ ar e terribly insecure about their jobs so they wont let anyone least someone from offsite get ahead.
