As they hire mostly for contract for some positions for 6 or 4 months as again they will end the contract as if there is a business requirement then probably very less chances of getting as Full time Employment so only apply for permanent position when you apply for Amazon.

This is about Hyderabad, India office and I have 6 years experience same level. *Awesome work culture. No religious feelings. Everybody respects everybody. Some friends offered me their bikes for going to friday juma namaz prayer. Too sweet of them. I miss them. Little America I can say. *Awesome salary structure with almost no deduc tions. *Your voice will be heard by management and HR. *Managers are very friendly and never carry bossy attitude. Timely logouts. Managers will first confirm the logout time and call us for meeting ensuring timely logouts. *Shift changes were quarterly (Every 3 months) good because other companies the frequency of shift rotation is every week, every month which is very hectic and give negative impact on work life. Every 3 months is good because it gives a jolt of good energy. *Everybody will help you if you need help. *Highest quality chairs, workstation, hardware and amenity. *Toilets are kept super clean. Facilities team is very active and timely action is taken after reporting. *Unlimited free Milk, Boost, Horlicks and other hot beverages however I suggest not to overconsume them else you will face stomach related problem which will make you fall sick. *Around 50 leaves per year plus 7 weeks of paternity leave plus very good health insurance provider with 5 lakhs of coverage so if you feel your salary is less then do consider these benefits. I never used this insurance in 6 years and when I really wanted to use I was with other company with no such benefit and paid lakhs of Rupees out of pocket. Same goes with the leaves. Other companies will mark 'Loss of Pay' but Amazon never. So benefits are less than or equal to money. Wow! I have never seen above mentioned likes in my next 4 companies. *No dress code. *In these 6 years, I have seen many employees left Amazon, worked in 2-3 companies and again rejoined Amazon. When I asked them why Amazon again? they replied 'Work culture' 'Money is not everything'. *No promotions even if you are working hard as long as 6 years in same level. *Hard work is not fruitful, only smart work works. Suppressing HMD is strict no no. We seniors have it in our blood and many juniors play with suppressing HMD at their own will. *The more you are in the same l evel, the less percentage hike you will get. I asked HR why is that and they informed that they copied this rule from HSBC for some reasons. *With the launch of Amazon.in in 2013, work culture is degrading. Many managers from cheap companies like Genpact, HSBC got hired and making Amazon workplace cheap by implementing cheap ideas for some appreciation and monetary benefit, which can turn down the overall reputation, highness or standards of this company. *Post peak party, conducted once a year is not even for a day. Just after 3-4 hours in the party, manager takes a mic and inform that we need to go back to work. Better not to attend such party and rest at home. *Even working after 6 years with no promotion, they put 'Customer Service Associate' in relieving letter not even "Senior" as a prefix. *Promotions: I was eligible to apply around 20 IJPs, I applied and got selected in None! *I witnessed some managers literally crying on the floor with work pressure.
