It's used be the work culture, but as the days pass on the work culture is getting effected, than I came to know in detail that work-culture is varying from manager to manager.
Feed back from hiring managers through internal process is bit clingy. Any important information is not getting passed on till the last member in the team flow. And no proper information about many internally tech exams that would help to upskill and move to IT from non-IT.

The work culture of this company is good. There are facilities for employees. Number of leaves provided are good in comparison to other companies.
Taking leaves totally depends on the process you work. My 13 leaves were lapsed as the manager didn't approve leaves citing shrinkage. But they will not hire to meet the resource requirement. There is immense work load in Amazon. They will make you worknfor 8hrs to be exact. Micromanagement is present everywhere.

The promotions are biased and not best Some of the hiring managers have no knowledge whom to take to that position and some are biased. First they already fixed the candidates informally and conduct interviews formally. They don't hire the best. *Most of the project managers have no process knowledge and they make SOP changes, which seems silly. *Recognition based on visibility, not based on candidate expertise *All promotions need LPs(Leadership Principles) interviews and those all LP questions are imaginable, not real. *The criteria of IJPs are very high, no matter the candidate has actual eligibility. Amazon used to be a good company before 2021. Now the company culture is no more employee friendly. Now Amazon is full of toxic program/Marketing Managers who have no technical knowledge but exploit technical people. There is no good thing left in amazon except for timing flexibility.
This company will not promote any loyal employee but promote a person who is up for only visibility. Internal culture is toxic. Higher management knows everything but does not take any action.

I had 4 managers; all supportive, no micro management and all of them were so supportive that they recognise your personal life problems if affecting your work. Workplace is awesome, all the facilities provided are also great. Weekly connects were fun, not just the work life we had fun sessions too
Won't say anything was bad, except some people who can't forget their previous company trauma and try running things that way, and while any potential threat if they sense from their seniors they starts pressuring the lower one but that's even one in whole bunch.😅
