Nothing to like about acuity finance department. I'm writing specifically as finance department because I can not rate acuity as a company as I have not worked in each and every department but I can surely rate finance department as the worse department I have ever worked.

Dislikes

Everything. 1. Every single day you have work for around 11 12 hours 2. Manual work no tools used. 3. Worst management 4. Non supportive 5. Blame game all time

Favoritism with Cians team - its hard to believe that some with just 5 years of experience became "Assistant Director" without any real knowledge. One of the Associate Director says that HR is merely a management puppet that only listen to us. I heard that Associate Director in Cians team promoted early as he was biggest bootlickerand heavy drinker, now he is making cartel of his team in leu of promotion & appraisals, and removed intelligent / genuine people from his team who were not his bootlickers. Team members are good and supportive.

Dislikes

Work culture, people in senior management are horrible. There is no point of having a POSH training cause even the senior people will harass you, try to get into your personal life and sexually harass junior employees. Management has no tech understanding and micromanages everything.

Promotions here are like dry promotions. There is micro management by Managers. There are rotational shifts in certain teams with employees asked to work in graveyard shifts.

The director I work under is supportive and understanding. Takes my feedback and requests very seriously.

Some Departments were previously a mix of research and analytics projects. However they have been made Tech Teams and Research members don’t get enough opportunities.

The insurance policy is really good. If we compare the insurance policies with other companies, it is awesome.

Acuity was the biggest mistake of my life. I realized this within 1 year and left the company. The work environment is terribly toxic. The managers favor just a certain set of people with whome they have personal relationships. The management is not at all fair and there is no proper redressal of problems. The work in itself is ofgood quality and there is much to learn, but the environment is not at all peaceful. It is full of toxicity and that is the reason for their extra ordinarily high levels of attrition. Acuity will always be hiring even in the low market situation because there is always a larger pool leaving the organisation. I would never join back neither would recommend anyone to join this organisation purely for their terrible work culture and poor management. Work environment, management approach, culture and team unity is pathetic. Nothing to say for development and learning prospective because no level up growth as per your profile instead you are degraded w.r.t your designation given in offer.

If mediocrity is what you seek then this is the right place. Mediocre people stay here for a decade and get promoted to become managers. Technically poor, scared of losing their jobs so they will do anything that top management says. They ask you to work on weekends and crib when you need holiday. Work culture will be projected as positive and helpful, but it’s all fake.
