Tons of things to say. First of all, no good trainings given to the new employees. All the team leaders, bosses and managers are in real hurry from day one. There is no proper introduction given about the company and also about the works/tasks we are supposed to do. The place we work is dirty, noisy and ergonomically poorly designed. Other senior employees laugh, talk, murmur while working so it gets very difficult for the new comers to work in a focused manner in a quiet environment. Hardly any breaks for food in a 8-10 hrs shift. Lastly Accenture hired me in a rotational job shift but after clearing all my interviews when I was hired I was out to work only in night shift. I also questioned them that we had an agreement that I would be working in Accenture in a rotational shift position then why are you guys assigning me only night shift!? Well they were speechless and had their backs against the wall and didn’t have any answers. Such things happen in Accenture India. I would highly recommend people to first see the workplace, the work and the timings you all are getting hired for and then if everything is fine then only join. I have joined last year only in September. Until now work was okay.

Dislikes

The account am part of is making their own rules to follow on top of organisation rules for RTO. Also no transparency in work and team, we were asked to login and work for more than 10 hours. We were asked to go to office in day time and complete 6 hours in office and then come back home and login again till 10:30 to support client.

Dislikes

As I was in Customer Support, maybe due to this profile there is no work from home or hybrid culture, or any work life balance. This is totally personal comment and thought on this. Otherwise everything was good in working with Accenture.

There are some good projects with many opportunities to work on new tech.

1. Lots of untalented folks on-shore are just doing assistant jobs with inflated tech role titles, this puts all the pressure and work on clients and the off-shore teams. Management expects you to work >12+ hours a day if you are in a senior/lead role to offset the incompetence of the on-shore folks. There have been instances where off-shore resources were asked to extend for 16 hours/day. 2. There is a lot of petty politics and they follow no clear standards for hiring people for tech roles with a very low standard of interview process. 3. Managers treat senior folks like trading horses and do not care for their aspirations, you are locked to projects without any interviews or alignment with the tech skills under the pretext of organizational requirements and are forced to work. 4. HRs do not reply/respond to any employees unless you contact them through your People Leads or Managers. They tend to dismiss employee's concerns, simply reiterating management's perspective. 5. 1. Timings are really bad especially in WFH. The work hours extend more than 12 hours. You don't have any personal time left. I worked in 2nd shift (12:30 to 9:30pm) but still people ping you at 2 am in the night expecting you to reply asap. You are expected to start responding from 11am in the morning till forever in night and attend late night calls which are scheduled for 11pm. 2. They don't give increment after the end of fiscal year. From last 2 years there has been no increment in salary. They just give you hopes that you will get it next year. You will not be able to grow financially here. 3. Managers dont listen to you. They make you work on saturdays and sundays without any comp-off or rewards. They also typically believe that 9 ladies together can deliver a baby in 1 month. They can ruin your career in name of PIP and insane expectations during PIP program.
