The Only One Invited to the Boss’s House… Should I Go?
I’ve been at this company for two months, and today, my boss casually invited me to dinner at his house. Why? Because the CEO of international business is visiting from London, and he wants me to meet her.
Now, here’s the weird part I don’t even work with her. There are 35 employees here, some with 10-20 years of experience, and yet, I’m the only one invited. I even asked around, and apparently, no one has ever been to his house before.
So now I’m stuck wondering if would it be rude to decline. Should I mention this to my coworkers or just pretend like it never happened? And most importantly… why me?!

This could be a great networking opportunity. Maybe your boss sees potential in you. I’d say go for it and make the best impression!

This sounds like the start of an office drama series. I’d tune in to find out what happens next!

A Team Lead
This does feel a bit unusual. Be professional but cautious, and make sure you don’t overstep with colleagues by discussing it too much.

It could lead to office gossip if others find out. Handle the situation carefully, especially if you decide to attend.

It’s worth considering why your boss chose you. While it may seem like favoritism, there could be legitimate reasons. Just tread lightly.

Watch how this invitation plays out with your colleagues later. Even if it’s innocent, others might interpret it differently, so stay neutral. Go, but keep your interactions strictly work-related and avoid any personal topics. It’s better to be cautious in unfamiliar situations like this.

It’s possible this could lead to unwanted office gossip. If you choose to attend, avoid sharing details with your coworkers. But do share some aspects in order to not keep them in the dark
