Should you "butter up" a potential boss to land a job?
A job seeker was advised by a senior to flatter a potential boss to increase their chances in final round of interview and being hired. Is this a good strategy? Does flattery always work in professional settings?

I would suggest not. Being inside is different from being outside. The potential boss would immediately catch it and it can go both ways.
