Retention offer
Hello,
Current offer from CG - Total 21.5L, fixed as 19.4 and rest bonus
Retention offer from Deloitte - Total 19.1, fixed as 15.5 and rest bonus (4L)
I understand the offer is less but my manager explained that Deloitte's hikes are better in the market and on an average, I can get 15% every year with good performance.
The same hikes in CG are around 5-6% so financially, my salary growth will definitely be more in Deloitte.
Please give me suggestions. I have good management and projects in Deloitte with WLB but I would like to have some perspective on offered CTC too

Deloitte promises higher annual hikes, think about it!

I think you should definitely take the Deloitte offer. While the initial package is lower, the long-term growth potential is much higher. With those annual hikes, you'll be raking in the dough in no time. Plus, a good work-life balance is priceless.

I get that Deloitte's hikes seem more attractive, but remember that CG's total CTC is higher upfront.

No. The hikes have been limited to 5% or less in Deloitte for last 2-3 years.

Remain with Deloitte as you know in and out of it w.r.t to work-life balance and everything and they are offering the same salary which you are getting in a new company. Better take the retention offer and then leave after one year or so if you are not satisfied with the hike or work or pressure or work load. It's up to you.

Take CG offer.
You applied there means you wanted to move on.
So move on.

I work at Deloitte. These are all ways to make you stay. There are no 15% hikes for anyone here. Maybe you're in a different profile but you need to figure whether CG is better in terms of profile and work life balance. The difference is huge, also idk how they could make your bonus fixed. Here we have something called discretionary bonus which varies YOY and is much lower than what you quoted.

Take that offer and go to a third company and ask for more... Why settle for hikes if you can get more money by switching
