Hie I’m also curious about this! I’ve been at an MNC for 3 years now and wonder what I’d be missing if I switched to a product-based company.

Product based companies offer more innovation but can have higher expectations and less structure
Are you ready for these challenges?

Product-based companies often have a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high expectations.

The biggest concern might be job security. Product-based companies, especially smaller ones, are market-driven. If the product struggles, layoffs could happen faster than in an MNC.

Product based companies can be unstable with more pressure and fewer benefits than MNCs

I'd prefer MNC. They have more stable and secure work environment with clear career paths and defined benefits. Also, the work-life balance is generally better, and there's less pressure to constantly perform.

Bro Don't go for product based companies . I have recently moved from a serviced based company to a well reputed product based. Guess what, The whole environment is so Toxic I can't explain . People here are sitting for more than ages. Still they don't know anything. There is lot of politics happens here. People will push all their work to you. Even if you are not entitled to do that. No work on latest technology only old frameworks and tools . You will struggle to learn and grow. Senior people will only do micromanagement, blame - game and put everything on you. One person has correctly mentioned in your comment i.e. Tight deadlines. Management without having discussions from developers come up with their own deadlines and you have to strictly follow and complete it. I am thinking to leave this org and thinking to look for serviced based . Atleast working hard in service MNC can land you an onsite opportunity. Don't come to product base for growth. It halts your growth and you will feel stuck in your life. But Yes , if you are some one who is married and at very senior lead/manager level who can easily throw your responsibilities on juniors then welcome, It is a heaven for those.
