No Laptop, No PF

I recently joined a new company, I am not provided with an official laptop to work, have to carry my personal one. Also there is no PF (provident fund) deduction facility available although the company has 50 employees. Should I be worried?

Not providing a laptop and no PF sounds like a red flag, especially for a company with 50 employees. Check if they comply with labor laws it’s worth asking HR for clarity.

Carrying your own laptop can be okay for startups, but no PF in a company of this size? That's concerning. Make sure you understand the full benefits package and legal compliance.

Bro, next they'll ask you to bring your own office chair and coffee! On a serious note, PF is mandatory for companies with 20+ employees definitely worth investigating.

An exemption from PF compliance is possible. So not necessary that they are non compliant. I worked at a place with 250 ppl but they had exemption from PF. Look into companies that can have a PF exemption.

No Laptop may be Okay... But, NO PF is NOT Okay. You must request HR to create a company Account with EPFO and include all employees to it.

Most companies check your experience record from your pf account only. So it will create a problem later for sure

It is not advisable to stay in that job if they dont provide pf it can effect your experience as well, as all companies are verifying experience with pf join data and end date
