Need advice on UX career path

Hi everyone! I’m a software engineer (1 yoe) - turned - UI/UX designer (3.4 yoe, 4 months being an internship). I am also currently pursuing a postgraduate program in UI UX design from university of Texas - distance learning. I’m currently based in Goa and want to look for remote opportunities as I’m not sure if i want to move out or not… i know there are better opportunities in Bangalore/Pune but do you think fully remote is better or hybrid will be a better option? Also in general what kind of package should i expect when i switch? I’m currently at 6.8 lpa gross.

The shift to UX sounds smooth with your background in software. How do you ensure your design choices align with both user needs and business goals?

Im in Pune and remote opportunities are also super tempting here. What do you think is the biggest advantage of working from Goa?

UX is booming especially remotely. Have you considered portfolio reviews or freelance gigs to expand your network?

Texas must be a whole new level of exposure. How do you balance learning and freelancing?

Im also thinking about making a similar shift from tech to design. How’s the learning curve in your distance program?
