I have received an offer from Capgemini with 12.5 LPA CTC (fixed component). I am currently having CTC of 9.5 LPA (9 LPA fixed + 50k variable). My tech stack is into DotNet Core, SQL, DotNet MVC, DotNet Framework, Vue JS, Vanilla JS, JQuery, CI/CD with 4 years and 3 months of overall IT experience (which includes 6 months of internship). Wanted to know about the salary trends since there is a mixed trend going on right now in the industry.

Considering your experience and skill set, 12.5 LPA seems slightly on the lower side, but market trends vary by company and location.

If this offer aligns with your career growth and learning curve, it's worth considering. Otherwise, negotiating or exploring further might be better.

Capgemini is decent, but did you try checking with other companies before locking this in?

the mix between DotNet Core, Vue JS, and CI/CD isn't exactly rare. Depending on the company’s budget, it could go higher if you push for it..

Capgemini is known to offer competitive packages but their offers are often structured to be lower than some other big tech firms. It's not a lowball per se, but it could be better based on your tech stack

In today’s market, it’s not unusual for companies to try to lowball when they can, especially if you're not actively negotiating. But you shouldn’t always accept the first offer. There’s room to ask for more, especially with your skill set..

I’ve seen companies like Capgemini offer this package for developers with 2..4 years of experience. It might not be the absolute highest, but considering they offer stability, you could negotiate for a better raise after 6 months.

Do you think companies in the IT space are lowering their offers in the wake of inflation and the economy or is it just a phase?

I’ve heard companies like TCS and Infosys offering 15 LPA+ packages for candidates with your stack. Why settle for less when you know there are better offers out there?
