How to reduce work anxiety?

I’m 23F, recently started my job and currently on probation for 3 months. It’s been a week on joining this job and I feel I’m not doing enough work. I feel bored and anxious while working . My team leads are expecting more work. How to manage the work ?

I believe everyone feels anxious at times, but we should ask ourselves if we feel that way. Will it help us in any way? Some things are not in our control.

On the same boat as you, been 4 months, I feel like I'm not doing enough, everyone else is so good at it, and i don't fit here.

[an assistant manager](username) Maybe try to communicate to them that you can take on other tasks if required, tasks that would keep you more engaged because you’re more interested in them. I think if the task is interesting enough you’ll do more by virtue of being interested. Try that for a start, I think things will turn around for you. And if you think you’re slow with the work you already have, it could be that you’re still new so give yourself time to

learn to use chatGPT properly to do your job better and faster. and try to automate lots of tasks using zapier or excel macros and scripts.. otherwise you can never get out of this work load. I was able to automate 80% of my work and used ChatGPT to give me scripts

Be brave enough to admit how you feel. Often, we may ignore or suppress our inner anxiety for various reasons, but only by facing it head-on can we take the first step towards solving the problem. For example, when you're feeling anxious because you're stressed out at work, instead of running away from the emotion, stop and say to yourself, “I'm feeling anxious right now, and that's perfectly normal.”

@a chat and email support executive I was expecting a more practical answer, but point of view taken.

Ask them for the clear expectations. If there are any process that you need to follow, ask your team lead/ managers to share it with you, if they have not done this already. Ask for the feedback what is it you are lagging at and work on that skill. This will happen over the period and this comes from experience and learning. Being bored, dont you enjoy your work? If that is the case, you will not be able to deliver what they ask for, cause you are not enjoying the work, so settle down and takeup tasks accordingly.

@arjunsinh I'll definitely request clear expectations and processes from my team lead. I'll also seek feedback on areas where I can improve. Enjoyment is key to productivity, so I'll make sure to align my tasks with my interests. Thankyou so much🙏
