Financial Advisors: Worth the Cost?

I've seen many people, especially those earning a decent amount, being advised to consult a financial advisor. But are they worth it? 🤔 Has anyone here actually hired one? Did it significantly change your investment portfolio? Share your experiences! Good, bad, or ugly, I'm all ears. Let's discuss it!

They are like gym trainers. For 95% population starting the fitness journey having a gym trainer is better than not having one. But at least 80% gym trainers are not very good and will try to sell you proteins etc or get you injured or are just plain unqualified.

Good financial advisors are worth it. And finding a good financial advisor is as difficult as finding a good partner.

Consider hiring a financial Professional if: 1.You have sophisticated investments (such as stocks, bonds, or real estate) and are confused how to optimize your portfolio. 2.You’re preparing for retirement and need an organized plan to guarantee you have enough savings. 3.You’re experiencing life experiences like marriage, having children, or receiving an inheritance, which may complicate your financial picture.

I spoke to 3 advisors. Did not feel worth. I did not feel the cost justified. I do on my own. I am not expert. May be average.

I could not have achieved FIRE without my good advisor. Till today I depend on him especially more so when I was abroad and did not have the time or knowledge for making good investment choices.

If your income is low, that is where you can try to learn through DIY method. Even now there are free resources to learn so most low income earners don't need them. But people who can afford should go ahead with a good financial planner. It's difficult to find a good one. Even Chatgpt, copilot or Gemini is better now. If you ask it to plan one.

Oh Man....are you reading my mind ... I think while financial advisors can provide expert advice, they often come with fees. Whether it's worth it depends on your individual needs and financial goals. Have you ever used a financial advisor? What was your experience like?

My advice is stay away from this scammers they stole from me but I had to do my part in getting my refunds. I was able to contact Jeff silbert 39 gmail com. with the mail information gotten. And I got a response and I explained everything to him. To a short note I was able to recover my lost funds in full.

Truly a good financial advisor is worth it. And I am not talking about your CA. Even investment companies have experts and financial advisors/planners who can help you chart out your investment plan, help you sort out your money and put you on a track to financial sucsess. Having someone keeps you on top of your game.
