EY's 26Yr old Employee death
Ernst & Young EY’s 26-year-old employee's death has fueled the toxic corporate work culture debate on social media. Earlier, Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy’s “70-hour” advice to youngsters sparked a similar discussion. Who is responsible for her death/murder? Where is the HR who said we are family? Where is the management and boot licking Executive? Dear friends only focus on the work which is good for health and life. Don't think about the company and the name of the company. Remeber: company have option at your replacement but your mom dad haven't. Business owners talk about how Japanese people work hard and grow their country but they never tell how companies treat them very professionally. I respect the business struggle but once you reach on top of business then all become the same nonsense.

The response EY has given is a proof how negligent they are towards employee well being. They just don't care.

My older sister works at EY believe me when I say I have seen her cry so much. She works 12 hours a day literally she is 27 and sometimes work till 10-11 PM and night all to restart at 8 am again.

Honestly, I’ve been feeling this grind myself. These companies say they care, but at the end of the day, they care about deadlines and profits. It’s a tragedy, and this needs to be a wake-up call for all of us. No job is worth your life.

Glorifying overwork is the most ridiculous part of an Indian professional environment. Employees being overworked is not a badge of honour, rather an eye opener for lack of efficiency on the part of an organization.

Where’s the so-called ‘we’re a family’ talk when it actually matters? They disappear when the pressure mounts. It’s the management’s fault, but they’ll never take the blame. HR just exists to send emails and organize pointless team-building exercises.😠

This is infuriating. We bear the losses, and the top management just wash their hands and bring in new piece. Hopefully, the investigation that the Central Government is gonna take will bring some justice to everyone.

Nothing will change unless EY employees take action. I'm shocked to hear that no one from EY attended the funeral, it's surprising. While it's possible that management instructed the team members or employees not to attend, we can't be sure, this incident is an eye-opener for many large companies and managers who treat their employees this way. It's a reminder that such behavior is unacceptable and should lead to serious reflection
