Your sales experience can be valuable in a BA role, but you’ll need to pick up skills like SQL, Excel, data visualization, and business process modeling.

Many BAs work on process improvement, requirement gathering, and stakeholder management. Your sales background in understanding customer needs is a solid plus..

Consider CBAP, ECBA, or courses on Coursera/Udemy. These give structure to your learning and help with credibility.

Try moving into a sales analyst, revenue analyst, or CRM analyst role first. Easier transition than jumping straight into BA.

See if your company has an internal opportunity to shift into a business analyst or sales operations role. Way easier than switching companies from scratch.

If you enjoy problem-solving, analyzing trends, and working with data more than closing deals, then yes. If you love the thrill of sales, think twice.

Connect with BAs on LinkedIn, join BA groups, and attend webinars. Many have made this transition, so learn from them...

Honestly, just start messing around with data. Get a free trial of Tableau or something and just play. You'll figure it out.
