Until and unless that senior is not bothering you, his timings, his work nature and his income should not affect you. If he is bothering you, harassing you, try to open up in front of him. If he misbehaves, try to confront him again, but this time with a voice recorder in your phone. Then i believe even HR or senior officials can't neglect you. But if his behaviour is not bad with you, you should not feel bad about his timing and his work culture. You must focus on your own work and stay away from these kind of politics
