a lead engineer
After Switch, Feeling lost in a career. Specially after working in good companies, MNCs, Captives etc.
I have 10 YOE
I joined a fintech company as a senior lead developer (java, cloud) in October 24
CTC 37.
Everything is good here. Eg . Worklife balance,
work from office/home , stability, project manager.
only issue is java work is less and stuck in Financial product where we need to deploy test and mostly do configuration changes.
This is my 5th company. What would be the advice?
is that okay to change comapny in 5-6 months?
how to proceed ahead with the career ?

A Team Lead
Is there any scope for automation in the configuration tasks you’re handling? That could bring back some technical involvement.

Since this is your 5th company, recruiters might start seeing you as a job hopper. Staying for at least a year might help maintain a stable profile.

5th company in 10 years isn’t bad....just try to stick it out for at least a year to avoid the ‘job hopper’ tag. Are there upskilling options internally?

How to Deal with a Chatty Colleague?
Okay, so I have this colleague sitting right in front of me, and he doesn’t stop talking all day. I’ve tried putting on headphones, but this guy still waves his hands in front of my face like, “Oye Oye, ek baat sun !” Leaving my desk isn’t an option because my work would suffer, and there’s no extra space in the office to relocate. How do I politely deal with this without causing awkwardness or making it seem like I’m being rude?
