Advice Needed: Joining Date Conflict
Hi all,
I’m serving my notice period, with my last working day on Feb 21, but the new company wants me to join by Feb 3. I’ve completed all transitions and have no dependencies, but my current employer isn’t agreeing to reduce the notice period.
This is my first job switch, and I’m worried the new company might revoke the offer. Any advice on handling this?
Thanks!

Listen, If the new company insists on Feb 3, it might be worth proposing a hybrid solution, such as starting remotely for a few days until your notice period is over, if the nature of your work allows that.

Bro, review the new company's offer letter for any clauses regarding the joining date. Some companies might have built-in flexibility, especially if the delay is due to unavoidable circumstances like serving notice.

Have a chat with your HR and ask if you can buyout your notice period. Have you tried that yet ?
