1st Failure
Hey guys, need some real advice here.
So, I joined my company 3 months ago and recently got my first review — not gonna lie, it was kinda bad. Right now, I’m in Support, but my actual dream is to move into the Business Analyst department within a year.
I’ve got decent skills in data analytics, making BA documents (BRD, Gap Analysis, etc.), but the main issue HR pointed out is my communication skills. And honestly, they are right.
I’m an introvert, not super confident in English, and the thought of handling client calls or stakeholder meetings kinda freaks me out. But I really want to improve and make this shift happen.
So, to all my fellow introverts who have managed to crack this —
How did you work on your communication?
How do you handle those big meetings without freezing?
Any tips for someone who wants to grow into a BA role but struggles with talking confidently?
Any practical advice or your own stories would really help.

Don't worry too much about "perfect" english. Watch some english shows with subtitles, or try talking to yourself in english sahi me sunne me weird feel horha hoga but it works

Improving communication takes practice. Start by summarizing your thoughts before speaking and engage in small discussions to build confidence.

Being an introvert isn’t a weakness. Many BAs are great because they listen well and think critically before speaking.

Record yourself explaining concepts. It’s cringe at first, but helps A LOT!

Make sure you're all set for tomorrow! If you've already warmed up with the material, you'll find that you'll start to feel more fluent and confident..

For BA, the main skill is Analysis, Problem solving, guiding. Communication is the 2nd thing. So don't worry. Work on your BA skill bro

I can see that It’s not about the English language but the confidence you have during the call.
