As a Data Center Location Strategist withinour Real Estate and Infrastructure Division, you will be responsible foridentifying, evaluating, and securing optimal locations for data centerdevelopments, ensuring reliable power supply, seamless connectivity, and robustsecurity infrastructure. Your expertise in site selection, utility costanalysis, and strategic planning will be crucial in driving successful datacenter projects that meet client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Selection & Analysis : Conduct comprehensive evaluations ofpotential data center sites, considering factors such as proximity to powersources, connectivity infrastructure, security considerations, andcost-effectiveness.
Utility Cost Management: Analyze electricity rates, negotiatewith power suppliers, and develop energy optimization strategies to minimizeutility costs and enhance operational efficiency.
Infrastructure Planning : Collaborate with design andconstruction teams to ensure that data center facilities are equipped withredundant systems, robust connectivity solutions, and advanced securitymeasures.
Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain relationshipswith utility providers, local governments, and regulatory agencies tofacilitate permit approvals, negotiate incentives, and address anysite-specific challenges.
Financial Analysis & Reporting: Developfinancial models, prepare investment proposals, and provide regular updates tosenior management on site selection strategies, cost projections, and projecttimelines.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Evaluatepotential risks related to site selection, utility dependencies, and regulatorycompliance, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard project investmentsand ensure long-term viability.
Market Research & Trends Analysis: Stayabreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changesimpacting data center developments, providing insights and recommendations toguide strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in site selection, real estate development, or infrastructure planning within the data center or telecommunications industry.
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, utility cost analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Knowledge of data centre design principles, electrical systems, and security protocols.
