Your Role

We are looking to onboard Category Managers who will take end-to-end ownership of the category by driving sales and business operations in the consumer tech space.

This role requires a specialist with comprehensive knowledge and experience in either F&B, QSR, Food Delivery, Cloud Kitchens, or Aggregator Models.

Key Responsibilities

1. Growth Champion

- Drive marketplace growth for the category.

- Focus on existing category expansion and introducing new products/brands.

2. Goal-Oriented

- Own the P&L (Profit and Loss) statement for the category.

- Achieve targets set as per the annual operating plan by creating the necessary infrastructure.

- Leverage industry expertise to identify category nuances and increase profitability.

3. Target Achiever

- Responsible for revenue targets and gross margins.

- Develop organizational plans and strategies regarding margins with vendors and business partners.

- Negotiate with vendors to secure higher margins wherever possible.

4. Planner

- Manage merchandising, assortment planning, and pre-season/in-season option planning to ensure comprehensive representation of the category.

- Identify and onboard potential business partners and vendors for future growth.

5. Trendspotter

- Identify broader trends and address category gaps.

- Plan, execute, and implement the latest trends on the platform.

6. Multi-Tasker

- Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, cataloging, finance, commercial, and other organizational functions.

7. Operations Genie

- Mentor and supervise merchandising operations, including catalog management and discount monitoring.

8. Marketing Genius

- Drive visibility plans and promotional strategies, and coordinate between internal marketing teams and seller marketing teams.

Potential Backgrounds

1. Educational and Industry Experience:

- MBA or relevant experience in buying, sourcing, supply, procurement, or QSR/Cloud Kitchen roles for consumer products or QSR brands.

2. Analytical Expertise:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess problems holistically and use data-driven approaches to problem-solving.

3. Work Ethic and Attitude:

- High ownership, proactive mindset, self-starter, and an all-hands-on-deck attitude.
