Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of power-plant projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, contractors, and project personnel to ensure seamless project progression and adherence to timelines.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and internal departments, to achieve efficient power-plant erection and installation.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular project assessments, risk analysis, and resource optimization to maintain cost-effectiveness and operational excellence.
- Lead the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for power-plant projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
- Provide technical expertise in power-plant systems design, installation, and commissioning phases, particularly focusing on steam, electricity, and water systems.
- Oversee testing, inspection, and commissioning to ensure that the power-plant is operational and meets all performance metrics.
- Implement project documentation, including technical reports, progress updates, and regulatory compliance records.
- Promote continuous improvement practices and identify potential areas for innovation within power-plant projects.
Requirements - Bacheloror Masterdegree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering, relevant certification in project management is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in powerplant erection and installation within the pulp and paper industry.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale projects, with expertise in project lifecycle management and construction methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of powerplant systems, equipment, and technologies used in pulp and paper industry power generation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance standards, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to drive project teams towards successful outcomes.
- Proficiency in project management tools and relevant engineering software.
- PMP or similar project management certification is advantageous.
