Job Description

The Gift Card & Marketplace Head will be responsible for leading and executing sales strategies to expand our footprint in the gift card and marketplace distribution vertical. This role is critical to driving revenue growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and managing high-value client relationships in the gift card and fintech industries across the Global markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, business development, and a deep understanding of the digital payments or gift card industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sales Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth in the gift card and marketplace distribution segments, focusing on both B2B and B2C models.

- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify, engage, and nurture key prospects and clients across various sectors (e-commerce, retail, fintech, etc.). Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.

- Partnership Development: Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with retailers, marketplaces, and financial institutions to expand distribution channels and maximize the reach of our gift card products and services.

- Market Expansion: Lead efforts to grow the company's presence in the gift card industry across India and the Middle East. Establish local sales strategies, target new opportunities, and increase market share in both regions.

- Revenue Growth & Forecasting: Achieve and exceed sales targets by driving new business and expanding existing client relationships. Provide accurate sales forecasting and reports to senior leadership.

- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing sales team. Ensure effective training, performance monitoring, and motivation to achieve sales goals.

- Product Knowledge & Selling: Deeply understand the gift card solutions and fintech products, ensuring effective communication of features, benefits, and value propositions to potential clients.

- Sales Enablement: Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure sales efforts are aligned with company strategies and customer needs.

- Competitive Intelligence: Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive activity, and market conditions to stay ahead of the curve and identify new opportunities for growth.

- Contract Negotiation & Closing: Lead contract negotiations and work with legal teams to finalize agreements with clients and partners, ensuring win-win outcomes.

Requirements:

- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships, with a proven track record of success in the gift card industry, fintech, digital payments, or a related field.

- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of the gift card market, digital payments, fintech, and related technologies.

- Sales Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to meet and exceed targets. Proven experience in developing and executing sales strategies in the B2B space.

- Client & Partnership Focused: Expertise in building and nurturing relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, with a customer-first approach.

- Negotiation & Closing Skills: Strong negotiation skills, with experience closing high-value contracts and deals in a competitive market.

- Market Knowledge: Knowledge of the gift card landscape, retail ecosystems, and the fintech industry in India and Middle East markets.

- Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to C-level executives and large groups.

- Cultural Awareness: Comfort working in diverse cultural environments and understanding of the nuances of doing business in India and Dubai.

- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), sales automation platforms, and other relevant software for tracking and managing sales activities.

- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with marketplace platforms, digital wallet providers, e-commerce platforms, or similar tech-driven ecosystems.

- Familiarity with cross-border commerce and understanding of payment solutions for international markets.

- Experience working with retailers, merchants, or financial institutions on integrating gift card solutions.
