Virtual Network Functions (VNF) Engineer

As a VNF Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design and Development:

  • Develop and deploy VNFs on cloud platforms or NFV infrastructure, ensuring compatibility with OpenStack, Kubernetes, and other virtualization environments.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to design scalable, resilient, and high-performance network functions.

• Integration and Testing:

  • Integrate VNFs with existing network and cloud infrastructure.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of VNF solutions, including functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).

• Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Monitor the performance of deployed VNFs and optimize resource allocation for improved efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve VNF-related issues in real-time, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Work closely with network architects, system administrators, and DevOps teams to align VNF solutions with organizational goals.
  • Document VNF configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.

• Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices for VNF deployments, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
