Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Shopware Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce development, a deep understanding of Shopware's ecosystem, and a passion for building scalable, high-quality e-commerce solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain e-commerce websites, ensuring optimal performance, user experience, and functionality. Your expertise in Shopware development will be essential to driving our projects forward and enhancing our clients' online presence.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Develop and Customize : Build and maintain e-commerce websites using Shopware, including custom plugins, themes, and integrations to meet client specifications.

Collaborate with Stakeholders : Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Optimize Performance : Ensure the speed, responsiveness, and overall performance of websites by following best practices and optimizing code, server configuration, and database queries.

Integrate Third-Party Solutions : Integrate external APIs and services with Shopware for enhanced functionality and improved user experience.

Maintain Quality Standards : Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code while following industry best practices and adhering to quality assurance guidelines.

Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues : Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth site operation.

Stay Up-to-Date : Keep current with Shopware updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies to continuously improve development practices and processes.

Support and Training : Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients, ensuring they are equipped to use and maintain the platform effectively.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Strong Proficiency in Shopware : In-depth experience with Shopware 5 or 6, including plugin development, theming, and customization.

Proficiency in Web Development : Advanced knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL. Experience with MySQL and database design.

Familiarity with MVC Frameworks : Familiarity with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture, specifically in the context of Shopware.

API Integration Experience : Ability to work with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other integration points for e-commerce platforms.

Version Control : Proficient in using Git for version control and collaborative development.

E-commerce Best Practices : Understanding of SEO, analytics, and conversion optimization within an e-commerce environment.

Problem Solving and Analytical Skills : Strong troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for identifying and solving complex issues efficiently.

Excellent Communication Skills : Ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Qualification & Experience Required

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience : Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Shopware development or similar e-commerce platforms.

Certifications : Shopware certification (preferred but not mandatory).

Language Skills : Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
