Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Headless Commerce Developer to lead the development, integration, and maintenance of headless e-commerce solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of front-end and back-end technologies, e-commerce platforms, and APIs to deliver highly customized and seamless shopping experiences. The Headless Commerce Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and business stakeholders, to create scalable and efficient headless solutions that enhance customer experience and support business growth.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Headless Commerce Solutions : Design, develop, and deploy headless commerce architecture using decoupled front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Next.js) and e-commerce platforms like Shopify Plus, Magento, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

API Integration and Management : Work extensively with REST and GraphQL APIs to connect the front-end with backend services, ensuring seamless data exchange between systems.

Customization and Optimization : Customize and optimize e-commerce features, shopping cart, and checkout processes for performance, scalability, and security, focusing on fast page loads and an engaging user experience.

Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams : Coordinate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product managers to align on project requirements, ensuring seamless front-end and back-end integration.

Maintain and Improve Code Quality : Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, perform regular code reviews, and enforce coding standards and best practices.

Monitor and Optimize Performance : Continuously monitor site performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve loading times and responsiveness.

Troubleshoot and Debug Issues : Quickly identify and resolve issues within the headless commerce ecosystem, maintaining a high standard of quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.

Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Technologies : Keep abreast of industry trends, headless CMS platforms, and advancements in headless commerce to recommend improvements and innovative solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Headless Commerce Platforms : Extensive experience with headless e-commerce solutions like Shopify Plus, Magento, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud, including setting up and customizing headless CMS platforms.

Front-End Development : Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Next.js), HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).

Backend Integration : Solid experience with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, PHP) and familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices.

API Proficiency : Deep knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including best practices for API consumption, authentication, and error handling.

Version Control and CI/CD : Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated builds, testing, and deployments.

Performance Optimization : Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques, including lazy loading, caching strategies, and optimizing API requests.

Database Knowledge : Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, with experience optimizing data handling for high-traffic e-commerce sites.

Qualification & Experience Required

Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in web development or e-commerce technologies are a plus.

Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years specifically in headless commerce or related e-commerce solutions.

Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Problem Solving : Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy, essential for troubleshooting complex integration issues.

Project Management : Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
