Cloud Engineer (E-Commerce Platforms)

Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions for high-availability, scalable e-commerce platforms using services from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Work closely with DevOps and Software Engineering teams to optimize cloud architecture for performance and cost efficiency.
• Develop automation scripts for cloud environment provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.

Platform Management and Optimization

• Monitor and manage cloud resources, continuously optimizing to balance performance, scalability, and cost.
• Configure and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to maintain version-controlled, reproducible configurations.
• Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of cloud infrastructure through effective resource management and timely upgrades.

Security and Compliance

• Implement best practices for cloud security, ensuring that data is securely stored and transferred, with rigorous access control and regular vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e. g. , PCI DSS for e-commerce) and company policies by performing regular audits, assessments, and security updates.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, exploring new tools and techniques to enhance the e-commerce platform s performance and scalability.
• Analyze and refine existing infrastructure to reduce bottlenecks, improve load times, and handle higher user volumes during peak traffic periods.

Troubleshooting and Support

• Provide technical support for cloud infrastructure issues, diagnosing and resolving complex problems promptly to maintain a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and improve e-commerce application performance and reliability.
