Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Analyst - Networking to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex networking issues while ensuring the stability, integrity, and security of our network systems. This role demands a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Provide Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues for end-users and clients in a timely manner.

Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Conduct regular network performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Incident Management: Log, prioritize, and manage technical issues through to resolution using incident management systems.

Configuration and Installation: Configure, install, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Security Compliance: Ensure network security and compliance with company policies, standards, and best practices. Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve complex technical issues and implement new technologies.

End-User Training: Provide technical training and guidance to end-users on networking best practices and issue prevention.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

In-depth knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and VPN.

Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar.

Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points.

Experience with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, or PRTG.

Familiarity with network security protocols and tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Qualification & Experience Required

Educational Qualification: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Professional Certifications (preferred):

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
CompTIA Network+
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in technical support and network administration.
Experience working in a customer-facing technical support role is highly desirable.
