Job Summary

The Pre-Sales Networking Consultant will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the sales process, working closely with the sales team to design, architect, and present network solutions that meet clients' business requirements. The role involves conducting assessments, delivering customized presentations, and ensuring that network solutions align with customer needs. The Pre-Sales Networking Consultant will also act as a technical advisor, offering insight into the latest networking technologies and trends, and assisting in closing deals through technical validation.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Solution Design & Customization: Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements, and design and propose customized networking solutions, including hardware, software, and security architecture.
  • Technical Presentations: Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, explaining the technical aspects and benefits of proposed solutions.
  • Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their current network infrastructure, identify gaps, and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Proposal Development: Develop detailed technical proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work (SOW), ensuring alignment with client needs and organizational capabilities.
  • Proof of Concept (PoC) & Demos: Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) activities and demos to showcase the proposed solutions in action and validate their feasibility.
  • Technical Workshops: Organize and deliver workshops or training sessions for clients on networking technologies, protocols, and best practices.
  • Sales Support: Provide technical support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, ensuring technical accuracy and addressing client concerns.
  • Market Research & Trends: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in networking, and provide feedback to the product development team.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and future opportunities.
  • Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Networking Knowledge: In-depth understanding of networking technologies, protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, etc. ), routing and switching, wireless technologies, and network security.
  • Solution Architecture: Ability to design complex networking solutions, integrating hardware, software, and security components.
  • Vendor Technologies: Proficiency in leading networking technologies from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, HP, Arista, and others.
  • Technical Demonstrations: Expertise in conducting technical demos, presentations, and workshops to demonstrate product features and benefits.
  • Security Knowledge: Familiarity with network security concepts and tools, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption methods.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
  • Consultative Approach: Strong ability to assess client needs and recommend solutions in a consultative manner.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with managing projects, timelines, and resources effectively to meet client expectations.
  • Qualification & Experience Required
  • Education: A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in networking, IT consulting, or pre-sales technical roles.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing role, with a focus on networking solutions.
  • Certifications:
    • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar are highly preferred.
    • Additional certifications in cloud networking or network security are a plus.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
    • Proven track record in working with cross-functional teams and influencing client decisions.
    • A customer-focused approach with the ability to build long-lasting professional relationships.
