Job Description

Job Summary

As a Regression Test Engineer at WN Infotech, you will be responsible for ensuring that new software updates and changes do not negatively affect the existing functionality of our products. You will develop and execute regression test plans, automate test scripts, and work closely with the development and QA teams to maintain high standards of software quality.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Develop and execute detailed regression test plans to ensure the stability and functionality of software after updates and changes.
Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to streamline regression testing processes.
Identify, document, and track defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues and verify fixes.
Analyze test results, generate test reports, and provide feedback to stakeholders on software quality and readiness.
Continuously improve regression testing strategies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure that regression tests cover all critical aspects of the software, including functionality, performance, and security.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in regression testing and automation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Strong understanding of regression testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes, such as Jenkins, Git, or Bamboo.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualification & Experience Required

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 0 to 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on regression testing and test automation.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing automated regression test scripts.
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Foundation Level Certification in Software Testing would be advantageous.
