Test Engineer

Terrific Minds is seeking a Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Test engineer,you will be responsible for developing test plans, cases, scripts, and reports for multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate user expectations, and establishing and enforcing QA standards. You will be instrumental in identifying and communicating business risks, developing automated scripts for regression testing, and ensuring the timely and thorough testing of technological enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Develops test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying size.
Performs testing on various frameworks
Validates that user expectations are achieved during the testing process
Reviews user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable
Responsible for aid in the development, establishment, and enforcement of Quality Assurance standards and best practices
Documents and reports system defects to the project team using Jira/Zoho
Develops automated scripts for regression testing for long term projects
Collaborating with UX, UI, Backend developers and other team members.
Works with business analysts and project managers to determine the most effective testing and inspection strategy for projects of varying complexity and size
Ensures that measurable test objectives are established for each system being tested
Ensures that defects uncovered in the test are recorded, summarized and utilized in post-project reviews in an effort to improve the development and test processes
Works with the Developmwent team and business to ensure the timely, thorough testing of technological enhancements prior to release to a production environment
Work-related communications should be done over the provided mail id.

Competencies

Test cases should ensure maximum coverage
UAT issues should be less than 10% of the total issues raised
ISTQB foundation level certificate should be obtained within 4 months
Periodic email communication should be done for follow up, test results and other release related matters.
Ownership should be taken on the assigned projects aiming closure
