Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Tableau Developer to join our team. As a Tableau Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing data visualization solutions that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. You will work with large datasets, creating interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau software, while ensuring data integrity and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau based on business requirements and specifications.

Work with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into Tableau visualizations that deliver insights and support decision-making.

Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure the availability of clean, structured, and accurate data for visualization.

Develop data models, extract and manipulate data from various sources (databases, APIs, Excel, etc.) to create comprehensive visual reports.

Optimize Tableau workbooks and dashboards for performance, ensuring scalability and responsiveness in large datasets.

Provide ongoing maintenance and support for Tableau reports and dashboards, addressing issues or improvements as necessary.

Ensure the security and integrity of data visualizations, following best practices for access control and data governance.

Conduct user training and support to ensure stakeholders can effectively interact with Tableau dashboards.

Stay current with Tableau updates and new features, incorporating them into solutions where appropriate.

Generate ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed to support business objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making processes across the organization.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server : Strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.

Data Visualization : Expertise in creating complex visualizations such as bar charts, scatter plots, heat maps, geographic maps, and KPIs to provide actionable insights.

Data Integration : Ability to integrate data from multiple sources (SQL databases, cloud services, APIs) into Tableau.

SQL : Advanced SQL skills to extract, transform, and load data for visualizations.

Data Preparation : Experience in preparing and cleansing data for reporting using Tableau Prep or other ETL tools.

Performance Tuning : Ability to optimize Tableau reports and dashboards for speed and performance.

Data Governance : Knowledge of data governance, security policies, and best practices in handling sensitive information.

Collaboration and Communication : Strong communication skills for working with both technical teams and non-technical business users.

Qualification & Experience Required

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Tableau development or a related data analysis field.
Proven experience in developing and deploying Tableau dashboards and reports in an enterprise environment.
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, relational databases, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with data modeling and analytical techniques, such as statistical analysis or predictive modeling, is a plus.
Tableau Certification (Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Desktop Certified Professional) is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and business requirements.
