Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure projects. This includes work in both public and private sectors, with a focus on delivering efficient, safe, and sustainable solutions. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in engineering principles, a keen eye for detail, and experience in construction project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Design and Planning: Develop detailed designs and plans, ensuring compliance with industry and environmental standards.
- Site Assessment and Surveys: Conduct surveys, site visits, and feasibility studies to gather critical information for project planning.
- Structural Analysis: Perform structural analysis to ensure stability, safety, and compliance with local building codes.
- Material Selection and Testing: Recommend appropriate construction materials and conduct tests to verify their quality.
- Project Management: Oversee project progress, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project reports, documentation, and technical drawings.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with construction activities.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and the engineering team.
- Environmental and Safety Standards Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities meet local, state, and federal environmental and safety standards.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in progress.
- 1 years of proven experience in civil engineering and project management.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of structural and geotechnical engineering principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
