Role Overview :

We are seeking a Data Engineering & Analytics Lead to drive the development of our data infrastructure, analytics, and business intelligence (BI) capabilities. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytical frameworks to support business insights and operational decision-making.. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with experience in data pipeline orchestration, cloud data platforms, and business intelligence tools. The role requires end-to-end ownership of data strategy, including data modeling, governance, and real-time analytics, while collaborating closely with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Engineering & Infrastructure :

- Design, develop, and manage scalable ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.

- Own and optimize data architecture, ensuring seamless data warehousing and data lake solutions.

- Build and maintain secure, high-performance databases (relational & NoSQL) to support business analytics.

- Work with engineering teams to ensure data pipelines are production-ready, scalable, and well-monitored.

- Implement real-time data processing for critical business use cases.

Business Intelligence & Analytics :

- Collaborate with business, product, and finance teams to define data requirements and create analytical frameworks.

- Develop BI dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

- Ensure data is accessible, structured, and reliable for decision-making across teams.

- Support financial and operational data analysis, including ARR-revenue reconciliation, customer trends, and business forecasting.

- Automate reporting processes to improve business intelligence efficiency.

Data Governance & Compliance :

- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks for data integrity, security, and compliance.

- Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and enforce access controls across systems.

- Define data quality standards and monitoring mechanisms to improve accuracy and reliability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership :

- Work closely with product, engineering, and finance teams to drive a data-driven culture within the organization.

- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts, fostering continuous learning and innovation.

- Partner with leadership to align data initiatives with strategic business objectives.

- Define and track OKRs related to cost optimization, user acquisition, revenue analytics, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, and BI roles.

- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and ETL development.

- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Airflow).

- Proficiency in cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse).

- Experience with data modeling, schema design, and database architecture.

- Strong knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and dashboarding techniques.

- Demonstrated experience in leading end-to-end data engineering solutions, including deployment and scalability..

Good to Have :

- Experience in real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.

- Understanding of log analytics, operational monitoring, and KPI reporting.

- Familiarity with machine learning integration is beneficial but not a primary focus.

Expectations & Fit for the Role :

- This role requires end-to-end leadership of data engineering and analytics-not just model-building or reporting.

- Candidates must have hands-on experience in leading engineering efforts, including pipeline deployment and data architecture.

- The role is internal-facing, supporting business teams rather than external B2C product data.
