Vice President - Finance
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO, board of directors, and senior leadership team to drive business growth and profitability.
- Oversee capital allocation, investment decisions, and risk management strategies to maximize shareholder value.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead the preparation and execution of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track business performance and provide actionable insights.
Operational Finance Management:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and audit functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable regulations and standards (GAAP, IFRS).
- Optimize cash flow management, working capital, and debt financing to support business operations.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Establish robust internal controls and risk management frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Stay updated on financial regulations, tax laws, and industry trends, and ensure adherence to all statutory requirements.
- Lead audits (internal and external) and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and professional development opportunities for team members to build their skills and expertise.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration to enhance financial transparency and decision-making across departments.
Investor Relations and Fundraising:
- Serve as a key liaison with investors, lenders, and other financial stakeholders.
- Manage fundraising initiatives, including equity and debt financing, to support business expansion.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, providing clear and accurate financial information.
Qualifications And Skills:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 12-22 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with a proven track record in corporate finance and strategic planning.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, tax laws, and compliance standards.
Leadership And Soft Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
