Vice President - Finance

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

- Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with Superplum's business goals.

- Collaborate with leadership to shape long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Drive initiatives to improve unit economics and ensure sustainable profitability.

- Costing, Inventory, And Profitability Management.

- Oversee costing structures, including detailed product cost analysis, inventory management, and supply chain finance optimization.

- Lead efforts to minimize operational costs while maintaining quality and efficiency across the cold chain infrastructure.

- Assess and refine financial processes to drive profitability improvements in a high-volume, perishable goods environment.

- Cash Flow And Financial Risk Management.

- Ensure adequate working capital management to support day-to-day operations.

- Monitor and manage financial risks to safeguard the company's assets and interests.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational strategies.

Compliance And Reporting:

- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements and established accounting standards.

- Prepare detailed and accurate financial reports for internal stakeholders and external investors.

- Build trust and transparency with investors, managing fundraising processes as required.

Team Building And Collaboration:

- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

- Partner with supply chain, operations, and technology teams to implement cost-efficiency measures and streamline processes.

- Act as a business partner to drive operational improvements and achieve organizational objectives.

Must-Have Requirements:

Educational Background:

- CA/MBA (Finance) or an equivalent advanced degree in finance or accounting.

Professional Experience:

- A minimum of 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience, preferably in operations-heavy industries such as FMCG, food supply chain, or logistics.

- Proven expertise in inventory management, costing, product pricing, and unit economics in fast-paced environments.

- Demonstrated success in managing relationships with investors and handling fundraising processes.
