Job Title: Data Modeler

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Data Modeler with more than 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data models that support data quality, performance, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure, Data bricks, data warehousing, and tools such as Erwin. SAP knowledge is essential for this role, and the Data Modeler will collaborate with data analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment between data models and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Modelling Design & Implementation:

• Design, implement, and maintain data models to support business needs and ensure scalability, performance, and data quality.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data architects, and business stakeholders to develop and refine data models.

Data Model Alignment:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the data model aligns with those needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical data models and ensure they support the overall data architecture.

Data Warehousing & Integration:

• Contribute to the design and development of data warehousing solutions.
• Support data integration and ETL processes to ensure data consistency across systems.

Tool Utilization:

• Use data modelling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, IBM Data Architect, and other relevant software to design and manage data models.
• Ensure proper version control and documentation of all data models.

SAP Knowledge & Expertise:

• Utilize SAP for business data modelling and ensure proper integration with other systems and databases.
• Leverage SAP's data structures and integrate them into broader data solutions as needed.

Database Expertise:

• Work with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) to ensure the models support diverse data storage systems.
• Optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and data integrity.

Big Data & Cloud Technologies:

• Utilize Azure and Data bricks for cloud-based data modelling, ensuring scalability and high performance in cloud environments.
• Leverage big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark to enhance data processing capabilities, if applicable.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Actively participate in cross-functional teams, providing expertise on data modelling principles and techniques.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure data models meet business requirements and are understood across technical and business teams.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years as a Data Modeler, designing and maintaining data models that meet performance, scalability, and business requirements.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in Azure, Databricks, and Data Warehousing.
• Proficiency with SAP for data modeling and integration.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles, including ERD, UML, and relational data structures.
• Experience with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, ERwin, and IBM Data Architect.
• Experience working with both relational (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data integration strategies.
• Big Data Knowledge: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark is a plus.
