Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies for machine tool spare parts, particularly Rotary Unions and Slip Rings.
- Identify new business opportunities and target OEM manufacturers and end-users in industries such as machine tools, automotive, defense, and engineering companies.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions to explain the benefits and functionality of machine tool spare parts.
- Provide quotations and negotiate pricing and terms with potential customers in collaboration with the branch sales team.
- Lead the sales cycle, from initial engagement through to closing deals, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless sales processes and exceptional customer service.
Customer Relationship and Sales Management:
- Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing customers and OEMs, ensuring continued business growth and satisfaction.
- Monitor customer accounts, follow up on leads, and ensure timely and effective responses to customer queries.
- Regularly engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that drive business growth.
- Provide weekly/monthly sales reports to management detailing pipeline progress, sales figures, and market feedback.
- Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and competitive offerings in the machine tool industry.
- Analyze competitors and their product offerings to create effective sales strategies and identify opportunities to differentiate our products.
Travel and National Coverage:
- National level assignment with extensive travel required to meet with potential and existing clients across various regions (Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune).
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the network and promote products.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed college or institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales of machine tools and/or spare parts, preferably with a focus on VMCs (Vertical Machining Centers), HMCs (Horizontal Machining Centers), and SMPs (Specialized Machine Parts).
- In-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry, including the operation, maintenance, and build-up of VMCs, HMCs, and related systems.
- Proven track record in driving incremental business and sales against intense competition.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and meet sales targets.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a solid understanding of pricing models and contractual terms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent presentation and product demonstration skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to undertake extensive travel for client meetings and site visits across India.
- Experience with Rotary Unions and Slip Rings would be a significant advantage
